I know the fxpansion team are gonne come with a beat slicer in 2, I'd prefer it in 1.6 but i dont think thats realistic.
i'm curious about the pro tools beat thing; it looks great for a bit of random glitch, drops and stuff. i get the impression that beatscape is a bit straighter, but it will obviously be solid inside sonar and a bonus for people who work like me; ie sample that sh*!, slice that s%^&, load that s%$£, play that s*&^!

I just hope Cubase 5 does something similar.. doubt it though

Pretty nice UI -design, but yes it looks way too simple. Though, i love that big window.

It's also interesting to know that the beat machine in Cubase 5 lets you import MPC kits and libraries. This alone is huge.
