Post Can't Get wrapper to wrap waves vst plug-ins
Is there anyone who has had sucess with wrapping waves vst plug ins? I've loaded on waves bundle, diamond, ress. etc.,
and the vst-rtas wrapper doesnt wrap it. Im working with Protools 8 le on a pc.

Launching Protools with waves installed (not being wrapped) causes protools to crash. I have to uninstall all waves/wave shell programs in order for protools not to crash............... Help Please Anyone!!!!!

P.S. All of my other plugins can up in the wrapper and is working inside of protools.........

Waves use a shell - so I don't believe you can wrap them.

Question Why wrap when they're RTAS too. No problems reported afaik with running them native under PT LE 8.0cs2 apart from the note on Digidesign's website re the pop-up asking you to locate the folder, which there's a workaround to as described on their site.

Le,

Before we can give you support for the VST2RTAS adapter (or any other of our products), we first require that you register them. You can then access the support ticketing system.

In any case, we could not assist you in wrapping your Waves VSTs as:
(a) they are also not licensed
(b) we do not support the direct wrapping of Waves plug-ins, as I believe they have licensed our wrapper framework to bring AU and RTAS support directly to their own plug-in shell.

Regards,
Rob.
