I've posted two questions this past week detailing problems that I'm trying to solve with a new installation of BFD2. In both cases there have been zero replies, which is somewhat unusual for forums. There's usually at least a couple of people who have an opinion, if nothing else.

I've been a geek long enough to know that, particularly if you're not a regular, posting in the wrong forums or otherwise making mistakes in protocol can yield unfavorable results. With that in mind, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong here, or if there is a more appropriate forum section for the posting of technical questions / difficulties with BFD2.

I was thinking that the Fxpansion folks interacted along with the others in the forums here to help resolve tech problems, so if I should be following a different procedure to get help on issues, it would be great if someone would clue me in. Just trying to do things the right way.

No, you're in the right forum. Sometimes, you just need to exercise a bit of patience when posting, especially during a "busy" period (FXPansion have already stated that they have a lot planned for November and BFD2 is no exception). Not to mention that many of us users also have to tend to day (and often evening) jobs as well. Some of us are geeks in our other life.

If it's really urgent, file a support ticket. That's their first line of communication.

Yeah, I know people get busy and have lives (I plan on getting one of those myself someday), haven't been here much lately so didn't realize the Fxpansion folks were snowed under as well. Don't mind exercising patience, but when I looked mine were the only posts with lots of reads and no replies, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't screwing up somehow. Wouldn't be the first time in life.

I saw you posted a reply to the kit piece problem, so I'm off to read that...

Trust me... I could tell you about my "other" life but:

a) you've probably heard it all before
b) this place is for BFD2, which is part of the life I like to live and talk about when when I'm here
