I downloaded the file and tried to install but when I click on the path it tells me that segment 2 is missing.
I tried to download the installer patch and it didn't work at all. What am I doing wrong.
frustrating big time.

That may be my problem as only 1 file downloaded. I am on a Mac 10.6. I also discovered while working on fixing this that BFD2 is not locating any of the other expansion packs and grooves that I have purchased and authorized.
Current issue though, how do I get both files downloaded. I have gone through this twice and the same issue arises.

You say you down loaded "the file" ? You surely meant, "files" as there are two of them, part one and part two.
You don't say what OS you're running but I'm guessing it's supported but if you're on a mac it needs to be
OSX 10.5.8 and above.
