Description: 7 Skies - Expanded (Matthias Uncos Remix) I did a Progressive Trance Remix, I used the hoover1 and hoover2 stems as well as the piano, it was really hard try to put those sound into a Progressive Trance track because as you can hear they don't belong to this gender, so I did the best I could. This was my second Remix I've ever made. I started Producing like 5 month ago and I'm still not very good at. Hope you guys $ girls like it.

Description: Finally, I'm done!! Now I can listen to the original, I promised myself not to do that until the remix was done :)
Genre-hopping is great, but once in a while I just want to space out and enjoy the melodies and the rolling basslines. So I'm submitting what I hope you'll agree is a engaging, warm and melodic trancy remix.
Stems used:
The really loud acidy bass (which I put in a bit of a different context, harmonically), the piano and the two synth riffs.
I really liked the melody in one of the midi files, so I tweaked its emotional curve a bit and made it the centerpiece of the track.
Have fun listening, and don't forget to vote! :)

Description: Hey Guys !
My name is Rene and im from Austria .
Im producing only for exactly 1 Year now , its not much i know , but im trying my best and im trying always new stuffs to get a better skill. The Reason why im Remixing this (and other)track(s) is simple : Everytime i start to remix something im trying to do it better than before ... this helps me alot to get better skills in Ableton .
Anyway ... this Remix is based on a Progressive Electro House Track with 128BPM. I hope u guys like it and it would be very nice if you can give me Feedback on that track , this also helps me alot too!
I think everything is spoken now , enjoy the Remix guys :)

Description: I'm a big fan of David and I admire his talent and musical knowledge. I own geist and DCAM synths in my collection and I use them in almost every track i make.
I was surprised about this track because as we all know 7 Skies is well known from more trance based productions and that's what inspired me to make this this track in more trace uplifting style. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Description: I didn't have a particular genre in mind for this track but i did want to make it my own! 7 Skies has always been one of my favourite producers and i'm so glad he's back doing what he does best! Really glad I got the opportunity to remix one of his tracks :) The "tech" I used was mostly soft synths like Massive $ Sylenth1 (I actually messed around with some of David's soundbanks lol!)

Description: Since we were required to use atleast 3 of the wavs given to us,i decided to put them in the beginning and then work strictly with midi and my own synths. The synths are gritty and extremely wide. That's all i have to say.Listen to the song and you'll know what im talking about :) Dont want to spoil it for you in the description.Cheers.

Description: My usual musical styles don't usually go in this direction, I'm more of a Prog Trance guy. I've done only one Step style track before so I thought I'd try it out in this for a change up! I listened to the original track four or five times and in my head I kept getting half tempo beats, so I just halved the pattern input. After completion I felt the track was slightly too slow at 128 bpm, so I used Cubase's built in time correction software and took the tempo to 136. This final version now has a 4/4 beat in the second half. The track was created on my home studio using my Intel i5 PC running Win 7 and Cubase 5 64bit. I used 8 instances of Alchemy Player and 3 of Groove Agent One, one of which was remix pad of the main riff. I always use a separate instance of my virtual drum machine for kick and everything else to give me more separation and control. There are 3 layered main bass sounds, a low pitched sub style, a raspy middle and a distorted wobble bass. I also managed to fully use 6 of the supplied stems and cut up the Piano riff to suit. There are another couple of samples in there to fill it out, one is a slight percussive loop, which provides texture and the other is a siren/hihat/snare topper for even more texture. The best part for me is when the main riff in around 1:25, as it's a really nice synth sound played well and is really euphoric. As a father of two year old twins, my studio time has taken a backseat, but I would still like to eventually make a living from what is currently a 23 year old hobby! The very best goes out to all the entrants and may the best track prevail. Peace x

Description: A short trance remix. I worked out a different melody from the square riff which is also what i used as the main melody. And hoover 2 as an fx for the intro. Added strings and a different piano at the break. I couldn't work on a full remix as i didn't have enough time to do so. But here it is anyways!

Description: Following the original track name of "Expanded" my focus was to create a sense of quick early expansion followed by a final "settling in" of the same expansion concept. Using a chopped $ sliced pattern of the original "Bass 1" WAV file I created the main bass groove which is a prevailing undertone for most of the track. The 2nd and 3rd WAV samples I used throughout the track were "Hoover1" and a reversed and up-pitched version of "Hoover2". Like most of the other entrants I really fell in love with the melodic lead of this track but I preferred to create my own synth layers and pattering using the provided MIDI. Thank you for the opportunity and enjoy!

Description: Genre: Progressive "club destroyer" house,
Sources of inspiration: The original bassline, Axtone, Swanky Tunes, Tiesto..
I used all of the original audiofiles (except MainRiff1) some of the provided midi as well.
Then I added some energy using extensive filtering delay feedbacks other fx. Finally, I compressed some of the elements to keep the whole thing breathing and pumping nicely.
Let the voters decide!

Description: This is the first time I've done a remix and I had a lot of fun producing it. Still fairly new to music production so thought this would be an ideal way to get my tune(s) heard by others who make music. I'm into Drum and Bass so naturally I've create a DnB remix. I used quiet a few of the stems and the midi to create this all of which were excellent and really easy to construct a tune with. Please have a listen and give me some feedback, peace.

Description: Genre: What's a genre? I used 4 of the stems provided and used some kind of glitch tecnique to drive the track into a different direction though keeping the same vibe of the melodic part of the track! Description: Hi. I'm MoonHare.
This genre might be Trance. I love songs of yours and Adam Szabo and my remix is almost corrects with those styles. This track's BPM is 134, fast today, but i like 138 BPM like uplifting trance yet. Some tech i used for my track, like bass on Tritonal - Slave, style from Adam Szabo - Lego and melody like Adam Szabo - Altra (7 Skies Remix).
Thank you! I hope people like it not only trance listeners but also every EDM listeners!

Description: I guess it has no specific genre, I believe that I don't have to make music under a specific genre. That's stereotyping to me. This track was inspired by 7 Skies, Chris Schweizer, Porter Robinson $ a lot more I might add. I use Cubase 5, let's hope I could get a hold on Cubase 7. it's 130 bpm, I guess that's all, check it out.

Description: Since the announcement said that "any" genre was valid... well, I did just that: tango/classical/metal... Im not even sure what I did. The idea was to use every single stem provided and take ideas from the MIDI files, but to not use any synth: just samples and real instruments. Had to do all in a single day, so... sorry for the sloppy bass solo and half-baked mix!
Thanks for listening, and the best to all participants!

Description: When I took a listen to the stems provided, I knew for sure I wanted to chop them up and make my own melodies. I also wanted to make track with a more traditional trance feel. 7 skies' older works were a source of inspiration for this. The piano doodle in the middle is an homage to a certain Bette Midler ballad :] I used all of the stems except the piano (used my own) and one of the hoovers. The MIDIs were very helpful. This track is supposed to have a quirky feel without forgetting what makes trance "trance." Whether I met that goal is up to the voter. Thanks for voting!

Description: I only used a few stems in places, I used more of the midi files because I wanted to change the rhythm around and change chord progressions and stuff :)
For the bass, which I think is the main focus of this track , it's a combination of 3 layers, two I made in Harmor and a preset from Nexus which provided the Sub Bass, I wanted it to sound more gritty though so I added an overdrive to the channel to crunch it a bit :)
:') Hope you enjoy my remix.

Description: This is kind of glitchy, with a broken beat, lots of sonic manipulation, and some (hopefully) nice melodies on top. I used 3 or 4 of the original stems, most of which are easily recognizable but some have been manipulated quite a bit. I used lots of software synths and FX plugins on this one, such as: Massive (bass lead), Sylenth1 (some chords), Absynth (pads), FM8 (bass), Gladiator2 (bass drop), all imaginable Logic plugins, Effectrix, etc. Not the usual 4/4 beat stuff, but hope you like it nevertheless!

Description: Mainly focused on Sound Designing and Sequencing....almost 90% elements were designed from scratch "INIT" exclusively for this remix, few were edited patches from my personal banks, few drum samples from packs and used one of my favorite patch by Martin W....and of course 3 stems provided - Riff, Piano and Bass were used as the main Building blocks.....also have put a lot of work and time for editing, fading, mixing part...for proper audiophile quality...though the only gripe is that I'm not that good at mastering, still did...but a professional mastering is what it really needs to shine.....Enjoy and don't just listen...get your brain into it...Cheers - B Roy

Description: I was having a beautiful day, in a happy and bright mood. I wanted to write down the feelings before I went to sleep, hence I produced this after my homework. I feel this track represented that day and its feelings. It is of progressive, groovy house/trance genre. I wish I had an electric guitar to replace my lead synthesizer sound, it would have been splendid touch. I made all of the sounds by hand using NI Massive and Zeta 2, besides for the stems provided. I wish you, the listener, obtains the same feeling from this track of which I created it with.
Thank you very much for listening. :)

Really fun to make this remix as it's very optimistic and can give you this feeling of drowning in time. I used 3 original samples; I was playing with midi a lot (my favorite synths) and used my Clavia Nord Modular G2. Plus lots of sound manipulating to reach the quality that I'm very happy with.

I aimed at keeping the integrity of the original track while illustrating a personal twist for this remix.
This dynamic track showcases driving rhythms, energetic bass, and soft breaks without a boring moment to spare. No matter the genre you identify this remix with, its sounds and feeling still hold.
I used Ableton with a selection of different plugins and affects on the stems and the MIDI tracks.
This was very fun to create. Hope you enjoy! Thank you!
