Ableton Live 9 32 bit, Windows 8.1, same problem: Guru standalone working fine / can't load the VST in Ableton as it doesn't recognize the serial.
I need Guru VST for live performances. Please Angus, do you have some advice for this problem?
Thank you,

Enzo

Me too! No i didn't press the "back to arrangement" button... the strange thing is that i have to touch the MSB to make it work, and i don't understand why, but in the end that's fine anyway. Here's a shot of my midi settings, maybe you see something wrong... Thanks mate, have a nice weeke...

ok Rory i've been all the afternoon on this! i think that the midi DATA automation contains all the info about the parameters, while the MSB automation kind of activates them? I think that to make it work i have to go and just touch with the mouse the MSB curve automation...and i dont know why! mayb...

Ok thanks anyway...
I'll stay with Guru at the moment, but I'll keep an eye on updates because the randomization bar (in the sample editor was crucial) was working more than great, and yet no other fxpansion competitor has anything similar.
Keep up the good work.

Really? I have the latest version, Live 8 and Win Xp. I read somewhere that Live coulnt manage the automation graphs after the midi drag n drop...but then i realized that it worked! Just on the first instance.... News: i just made a new project and now it doesn't work on the first instance either......

I think that hundreds of users didn't step up to Geist because of the lack of the randomization bar, which was a must for every sound designer or avantgarde producer. Among these, I'm just one who loves to create new sonic structures. Let's see if updates will bring something.

one instance of Guru reads step automations, another doesnt!

Guru + Ableton live 8, this is crazy: One instance of Guru --> i make my graph automations, then drag and drop the midi pattern onto the Ableton arrangement, setting shot mode in Guru: Ableton reads every pan, pitch....automation! EVERYONE! And even if you delete the pattern in guru, it works! as if...

a randomization feature ala Guru

Please think about the randomization bar for patterns, graphs and sample editing.

Guru is sound designer's heaven, Geist could be even more.

Randomizing patterns and graphs

Hello Angus and all at Fxpansion, i'm a long time Guru user. I'm often using the randomization feature, for samples and patterns. I also like to generate new patterns randomizing the cutoff, shift, pan graphs, thanks to the clone (random) option...which is a great feature! Now I'd like to clone t...
