Pad hold or toggle mode

When looping is engaged on a pad, have a mode so you hit it once to play and hit it again to stop. Or bring back the 'hold' key which you had in Guru 1.6 which does the same thing. This is a really really really really useful feature for anyone doing live performance and one of the things that keep ...

it was in Guru but was a bit patchy in functionality. I'm gonna add it to the feature requests. BPM, Ableton Drum Racks and Maschine are all not capable of this and there's a lot of threads asking about it all over the place. It's one of the central reasons people, including me, still use the SP ser...

Pad hold/toggle?

hi, is there a function for pad hold or to toggle looping pads on and off? This is a feature probably best known from Roland's SP series of samplers and really useful for live performance. Basically a pad keeps playing/looping until you hit it again then it stops. This was implemented in the last ve...

use the multi out and route into something with proper effects.

i just run it in separate channels into Logic and do fun things there which i can easily assign to the midi controller. you could do the same in ableton or whatever

Does anyone know the midi implementation for the new functions like hold, note repeat, note erase, last pad etc.? no new midi implementation was issued for the 1.6 update so i don't know. if anyone knows ...

yes, absolutely. you have Guru templates on the MPD anyway, and you can customise everything on the MPD so just make sure you assign the correct channel and number to the controller and away you go.

Is there a way to edit multiple pads at the same time?

Sorry if this had been answered, i did do a couple of searches.

Cheers

Sad to say this let me down in the gig. The pads would latch but not unlatch, or not trigger properly, or whatever. i gave up, just did a lot of bent over trackpad action which is a bad look and not what i want. Can i just be the 90th person to say, IF YOU ADD THESE $%^&£ FEATURES GIVE US SOME £...

okay, i've found the answer is in the hold control. I've also found the hold control on the midi map, so i can assign an MPD pad to it to hold down. sometimes you have to mouseclick to pad to get it to turn off tho, otherwise it's working ok.

how does looping in Pad Edit work? fairly urgent :)

Hi, forgive me if i'm being stupid, but I'm trying to understand how the looping in Pad Edit works (for a gig tomorrow night, ulp). Basically what I'd like it to do is have SP-404/SP-555 functionality so a pad keeps looping until i click it again to release it. it's really good for live performance ...
