Greetings; I just tried it, and i'm getting a distinctly different sound with all three mics (top 1, top 2 and bottom).

Have you tried muting the OH, Room and Amb channels (along with kick to elimate the bleed), to isolate the direct mic sounds?

Greetings; Personally, I'm pretty happy with the BFD3 presets. If there are too many for a given plugin, then it's hard wading through them to find ones that I like -- i'll take quality over quantity every day!

Greetings; I don't use an e-kit myself, but I've noticed other threads on the BFD3 forum in which e-drummers talk about getting a more natural playing feel with -3, especially when it comes to HiHats. In terms of getting an authentic kit sound, -3 definitely takes drum plugins to the next level. Reg...

Hi...sorry to chime in on this...but am experiencing same kind of issue. Win7/8GB Ram/I7 Intel When I load BFD 2 sounds into the BFD3 interface...no problem, but when I load a BFD3 kits with presets, memory usage goes through the roof can all craps out...it seems as if the BFS samples them themselv...

Geist CM x64 Crash In Cubase

Greetings; Am I able to get support in this forum for the GeistCM version of Geist? I'm using GeistCM 1.0.5.1, and I've set up the x64 version in Cubase v7.0.6 x64, but GeistCM won't work at all. When I try to open up GeistCM via the VST rack, Cubase crashes out completely. I have been able to use G...

Re: BFD2 doesn't work. How do I get a refund?

I have BFD2 with the Zildjian and Percussion libraries. It will not remember keymaps. I have to manually load them every time I open a project. Support can't fix it and it is useless to me this way. Who do I need to talk to? If you are actually talking about BFD3, there's a button on the preset bro...

+1 for the new distortion FX, it sounds gorgeous. I've mentioned in another that I hope it turns up in the next version of DCAM/Fusor.

On a high-level, is an algorithm that looks at the number of articulations available and calculates the ratio between the MIDI velocity range and the number of articulations. This will roughly determine which articulation to select when the MIDI velocity is selected. The articulation number is then...

I believe there are rotating samples, so that at a given velocity layer, more than one sample is available.

This -- at least in principle -- should produce a more realistic drum sound.

Perhaps some of those new mixer presets will work their magic on the BFD2 kits. I was nearly lost to Studio Drummer - I am glad I upgraded. One of the key new features in the BFD3 is the existence of additional channels going into the Ambiance Bus -- expand the bus and in addition to OH, Room, and ...

How and where a drum kit is recorded is a part of the sound but no more greater or lesser than what a kit is made of. To say that shell material isn't a significant part of the sound is myopic to say the least. Maple is going to sound different than birch than acrylic and is an important part of th...

Yeah, I moved it all to one of my HDDs. Just wasn't sure if the program needed to reference those files any longer. Thanks No, once the content is up and running, those installation files are redundant, but keeping them for backup makes a lot of sense. The Immutable Law of Computing: Once you delet...

just a small hint the YHG Expansion which are BFD Cocktail would not work if you own only BFD3 , because this Expansion needs to be installed in the BFD2 Audio Folder , and the Kits and Presets needs and loads the HiHat , Crash , Splash and Ride from the BFD2 Content ! so as i said this one would n...

Re: Goodbye BFD2

I was about to advise someone on the sonar site that it's still worth upgrading from BFD Eco via BFD2 as you get all 10 of those lovely kits so I went and checked the upgrade price and discovered that BFD2 in no more. It's gone, kaput, finished and done with. Steve I was looking at a certain music ...
