Same version here, 64bit on a Macbook Pro. I think it was both in standalone as within a DAW (I'm using Ableton 9.7 / Logix Pro X latest version). As far as I can remember this problem showed up randomly. Maybe ARNK can tell more?

No, the "loop active portion" function is the looping function of the slicer.
