Why are you working at 192kHz? All your doing is degrade your sound quality by increasing the quantization error. And BFD was recorded at 44.1kHz anyway. When working at higher sample rates all the sample-rate conversion has to be done on the fly, which is probably why you are experiencing problems....
I guess nobody can answer this for you. I personally don't really like the workflow in version 3, but other do so it's actually a matter of preference. But BFD has always been a "deep" program, so in comparison to other software it is more complicated, but the level of control you get over...
Try using only small amounts of the direct mic (or not use it at all) and get most of the hats trough the OHs and room mics. I also found that the shank articulations are overly load compared to the tip - at least on the bosporus. You can bring these down using the articulation trim if you need to. ...
I just tried this again and now i'm having the same issue with snares too, last time it was only the toms. Confused... I would be interested too in getting an explanation on how this loudness section is supposed to work. According to the manual VelDyn should be the same thing as the kit-piece dynami...
Well with snares it works perfectly fine. When engaging the Loudness section with all controls at default, it sounds the same, and when increasing/decreasing VelDyn it triggers higher/lower velocity layers. So i'd say its definitely a bug. Maybe change the thread title to BR so FX guys will chime in?
When it says "Checking status of files already download..." you need to wait a few minutes, LM has to scan all the files that have already been downloaded.
I suggest you keep both 2 and 3 for compatibility with older projects.
Performance-wise its best to install the libraries on a dedicated hard drive, otherwise just create a folder for the BFD lirararies, and put each individual library in its own subfolder.
I don't think you came across in as ignorant, everybody is free to decide what they like and what not, i dont like every aspect of BFD either. And yes mixing drums is hard, like i said i'm not always getting the results i'd like, i just meant to point out that even with today's technology skill stil...
Is it possible to uninstall the x86 version without touching the x64 version?
I tried to leave the installation path blank during setup but it was required to be filled out.
