Re: OBLIVION: PRESETS AND KITS NOT SHOWING??

There are supposed to be 9 preset kits for Oblivion according to the FAQ, but I don't have them, just the kit pieces. In typical fxpansion obtuseness, the kit pieces do not have Oblivion anywhere in their naming - so the kicks are Mapex for instance (you can filter kit pieces by library though, so t...

No, there are no grooves with the Heavy expansion.

Re: QUESTION ABOUT HEAVY EXPANSION?

There are no grooves included in Heavy.

There is a separate groove pack called Heavy Rock Classics but that is unrelated to the expansion pack.

The FAQs for each product show exactly what's included, rather than the somewhat vague overviews.

Re: Xpansion advice

Those PDF's are from back in the day when those product were boxed and came with a paper manual. We've not done a PDF with a list of contents for some time now. The FAQ pages for expansion packs should always have a question that says "What is included?" with a list of the drums. Well the...

Re: Xpansion advice

Sorry if I'm being blind, but where are the individual expansion manuals? There are install guides and and FAQ's but why would you need a manual for an expansion kit? Steve Because they have a list of the kit piece and how it was struck perhaps? Seeing as the OP was asking for a list of all the kit...

Re: Superior Drummer 2.0 or BFD 3??

Well I know you guys have to be positive, but I think you can agree that inMusic's reputation, rightly or wrongly, isn't exactly high amongst musos. I hope you're the exception and maybe even turn inMusic's reputation round a bit. I know all about company collapses and buyouts as I've been following...

Re: Superior Drummer 2.0 or BFD 3??

Honestly, if I was buying now I'd steer clear of BFD until the dust has settled on their new inMusic deal. If you're in a rush for something now I'd get SD3. I wouldn't bother with DS2 though, unless there's a good upgrade price to SD3. Also consider Steven Slate Drums SSD5 as that's on sale and is ...

Re: BFD acquired by inMusic

Yeah, this is not great news, however it's being spun. InMusic are a terrible brand with a poor reputation.

Maybe FXpansion can survive the constant reselling like Steinberg, but I'm not terribly positive at this stage.

Re: BFD4?

I really don't see this as good news, sorry. Nothing I've seen about InMusic impresses me, just a company that buys other labels and then does nothing with them. AIR has some OK software. Is it updated? Does it have a following? And it's often discounted to $1 (which is how I got them). Akai have no...

Re: BFD4?

I doubt it. Development seems all but dead now, just the occasional expansion pack here and there. Dead/spammy forum, an update that caused more problems than it was worth. If you listen carefully you can hear the crickets in this place...

Re: Win 7 64bit - What's he Word?

I bitched about this at the time. I've since 'upgraded' to Windows 10 only to find out the new Windows 10 version of BFD3 is terribly flaky, so I ended up using the Windows 7 version anyway! What a waste of time. This feels like an end-of-life product at this point. :( I wouldn't hold my breath for ...

Re: BFD3 v3.3.0.43 now available

From the state of these forums, botched releases and the total apathy of fxpansion looks like BFD development is on it's last legs. Yeah, that's the vibe I'm getting. So much so that I am not buying any more expansions for BFD3 regardless of sale prices etc. as I just feel like it's a money pit now.
