This is almost giving away secrets...... One thing to try is keep the patterns in "Sync" mode just for fun and trigger changes in your music on off bars to your Scenes so that your Drums change a bar or half a bar out of time to your verse or chorus. Just jam with scene keys on your Midi ...

The biggest thing is to make sure the notes you use within the piano roll editor are the same length as the patterns for each engine in Guru and that these notes don't overlap. Also remember to set each pattern in guru to "shot" mode. I believe "shot" is the one to pick anyway. Y...

I will load up all Guru's engines with complimenting loops and create a multitude of different scenes within Guru. I compose by toggling the scenes using the piano roll editor inside my DAW which is Sonar 7....

yeah it is different, but sonar has a step sequencer built into it already which can be used with beatscape... If I'm reading this correctly, basically it looks like it operates much the same as Guru with only one engine running. If that is the case, you would need 8 instances of Beatscape loaded a...

I think I ranted too quickly.

I see the upgrade price from Sonar 7 pe or se to Sonar 8 se which doesn't include all the woop-di-doos is is only 99 bucks.

Leaves me plenty of left over cash for a Guru 2 upgrade, hopefully.

Looks interesting. I'm a Sonar user aswell and am looking forward to the supposed upgrades to the audio engine, lower latency etc.... I think Beatscape and the other whoop-di-doos thrown into the package is sales bait. Give me Sonar 8 without all the window dressing at a reasonable price and let me ...

Effects levels.

Is there a way when setting an effect level for a pad, be it an insert or aux to have those changes apply to all pads in an engine. If not I think this would be a usefull feature. Would also be real handy if you could trigger a mixer type windows for each engine where effects type, levels, pannings ...
