Re: Geist slow to load - change in preferences?

I really would appreciate an update here. Like the previous contributors have said - this is not great customer service and many of us will not be in a position to buy again from FXpansion unless the standard increases. Specifically, you made a promise above to fix this issue, and you do need to del...

Re: Geist slow to load - change in preferences?

I'm going to bump this because the problem hasn't gone away and now that I time it, it can take between 30-60 seconds after opening an existing instance of Geist 2 in Reason before it becomes usable. This is a really long time and is putting me off using the product. I'd be very grateful for any ide...

Geist slow to load - change in preferences?

Hi, When I open Geist 2 (in Reason 9.5, on a Mac), after the GUI first comes comes up I then have to wait around 10 seconds before I can actually use it (Mac shows the spinning beachball). It looks like it's loading something into Ram during this time, like some default sounds or something. Is there...

Re: Browser: up and down arrows work in standalone but not when used as ableton plugin.

I understand why it's a good idea to disable keyboard when used as a host.

Still, the up and down arrow keys in particular would be useful, for the reason the OP mentioned.

Can just these be enabled please (perhaps in Geist 2)?

Re: Geist 2? Will it ever happen..

Hi there, It's great to see that Geist 2 soon come. A couple of things that would be superb: 1) Using keyboard arrows to audition sounds in browser. As far as I can tell in Geist 1, there's no keyboard shortcut for the browser's selection arrows. When auditioning multiple hits (e.g. scrolling throug...

Hi Angus, I can understand what you say - it must be frustrating with different companies making new standards without consulting, and expecting others simply to follow. Still: there's an industry-wide challenge to make midi control more usable, and a variety of solutions being tested (Roland are an...

Yes, NKS support would be fantastic.

It would make me upgrade to Strobe 2.

Being able to use Geist 2 with Maschine, with a mapping system created by fxpansion yourselves would also be fantastic.

Personally I'd sacrifice the polyrhythmic feature to enable drag and drog. That is: create a setting in tremor to turn off polyrhythmic sequencing, turning off those right hand arrows in the sequencer. I can't think how it wouldn't then be much easier to enable drag and drog of straight four bar mid...

Yes: I'm having this, and then some. Actually Geist works for me in Logic X without issue. Tremor too. However, all the insert fx (bloom, maul, etch etc) crash logic X immediately upon loading. I've given up trying to fix this for the moment. I notice that most of these products are in public beta, ...

How do I use the presets I've bought?

Hi, Apologies for the really dumb question, but I've bought a preset pack form standalone music, which is basically 128 single patches. Their instructions were to place them in the Documents/FXpansion/Strobe folder, which I have done. But they are not showing up in strobe itself. Does strobe scan th...

Multiple Geists -vs multiple outputs in Logic - how much more CPU intensive?

Hi, I mainly use Geist to program individual drum layers. I always want each layer (clap, hats etc) to go to its own channel in logic, so there are two options: Have one instance of geist with multiple outputs and put each channel on a separate engine in Geist, and then use aux channels in logic. Or...

How do you double the pattern length and keep the same notes?

Hi there, This is probably really simple to achieve but I haven't quite found the way. Say you get a pattern going, and then decide to double its length to add variation. Is there a way to also double the notes you've already put in so that you can then vary them? At the moment I have to write them ...
