Hey Steve, I don't know anything about soft synths, but what I do know is my opinion on what could be improved in this software. The fact is, I would love to be able to see 12 bars worth of grooves or more, so that's what I thought this thread was about. And I stand by my comment re: it being the wo...

Late, but I my list would be: - No ILOK - Definitely keep the kit view - Resizable window - IMHO, this is the worst thing about BFD2 - Right Click copy/paste etc in Groove Window - Right click choice of tool (erase/draw/velocity) - Continuous brush drags - at the moment you have to implement 2 snare...

I re-used a project that I was no longer using. I deleted all the tracks and just started again. Built my grooves in BFD, then dragged them to the drum track. I have my drums mapped to individual channels in Logic. Usually I can just press record, counts in 8 and then into recording. Now it waits an...

Silence when recording / Delayed start - Logic Pro 9

I've just upgraded to Logic 9 and have a basic drum track ready to go. The metronome in L9 is set to count in 8 beats which it does correctly, but after the 8 there are another 7 before BFD2 kicks in. This wasn't happening in Logic 8 so I'm really confused. As you can imagine, it's really frustratin...

BFD2 Logic Export Midi

Hey guys, I am using BFD2 and Logic Pro 8 and thought I would be able to drag and drop from the drum track into Logic. It shows up as a midi region but I don't hear anything. I'm sure I must have some kind of midi setup issue but I'm not sure what. I'm using a Motu 8pre if that helps :) Thanks in ad...

Hey, thanks heaps. It turns out BFD2 was just having a bit of an off day. I shut down the program and restarted and the kit was there but then would not load, so I rebooted my Mac and everything was sweet! Great snare sound too, that is just killer!

Re: Pearl Jam/Dave Abruzzsese kit

Hi Guys. Always been a massive fan of Dave A's work with Pearl Jam - and especially the sound he and Nick Di Dia (album engineer) achieved for the Vs and Vitalogy albums. This is my take on it, using the Masterworks kit as the base, with a piccolo "roomy" snare sound, and eq'd the toms an...

Which expansion packs have brushes? I really, really don't want to pay more but I currently have AUD $399 worth of drums that are only applicable to a quarter of the songs I have written. Very, very happy with BFD, just disappointed that I can't afford the Jazz & Funk kit :(

I have to disagree Etto, as you say, some simple brush strokes should be standard - I thought I was buying the ultimate acoustic drum software only to find out I have to pay a significant amount more to get what is essentially a basic piece of kit!
