I just heard the DCAM Himalaya video. All I know is that if DCAM is anything to go by, GURU2 is going to blow everything else away.

The features that jumped out at me the most are the synthesis types and physical modeling. Effects I'll judge when I hear them, all though I don't have high expectations. I really enjoy crafting drum and percussion sounds, and Kong seems great for that. It *seems* to me that either GURU or LIVE (my ...

KONG

Okay. I got to say it. Integrate the sound design features of Propellerheads' Kong into Guru and there is an instant win. I am a huge fan of GURU and use it every day. But when I saw the sound design features of Kong my jaw dropped. I KNOW that Fxpansion can totally kill it with guru v.2, But what's...

What's quite funny with these clones - especially the MOTU one - is that they've copied the design so closely they've ended up doing a lot of things which we now, having been working with this stuff for 4.5 years, consider to be mistakes or at least sub-optimal design choices. Damn STRAIGHT Angus!!...

Installation oddities - GURU keeps asking for serial number...

...in both standalone and as AU and VST plugins in Live on Mac 10.5.1. I had a severe crash and lost all the contents of my harddrive. I DL'd 1.5.12, ran the install, and then input the serial first in standalone, then as plugins. Still, every time I open GURU it requests my serial number again. Any...

I was trying to load the midi file via the GURU browser - it just loaded an empty file. Using an Intel Mac and Live 6.07, I must first load the midi file into Live via Lives Browser. The file generated by either Groovetool or Microtonic is recognized by live as a folder. I then open the folder. Insi...

Here you go Angus --> http://www.boombuzzsoftware.com/ I found out about it ages ago on a forum somewhere, but it wasn't UB. A few days ago I went to Goldbaby's site to see what samples were available for GURU, and came across the link on the Goldbaby site. Remember, that the midi export on Microton...

Okay, I pulled the trigger too soon on the last post. If I import the MIDI pattern first into live from Groove Tool or Micro tonic, and then export the pattern FROM Live, GURU recognizes the midi file and all is Kosher. Strange behavior though. Anybody have any idea how to avoid this intermediary st...

Importing Patterns and creating Groove from Shifts

Hello All, I am currently unable to import a midi pattern into 1.1.280. The pattern is very simple - a 16 bar pattern all on c1. The pattern is generated using a program called Groove Tool from Boombuzz software. The Groove Tool pattern works because the midi pattern is recognized in Ableton Live 6....
