Re: Core Library Size

Hey up, I caught this on KvR and Gearslutz. Answered there but for future reference: I've checked my OSX partition just now. Size in bytes: 48,380,566,029. 48GB. I think I know what has happened. So the 'approx' 55GB figure roughly correlates to what I saw on Windows. OSX shows a lower figure becaus...

2020 Note to BFD users - the forum is not the best place for support!

Hey all. It's no secret. This forum is often populated with spam garbage and has become unpleasant to use. The BFD team has moved on from FXpansion and is now with inMusic as you're all probably aware. We're a small team and cannot realistically dedicate our time to cleaning up the FXpansion forum. ...

Re: ROOM AND AMBIENCE MIC-SOUNDS IN EPIK DRUMS AND ANDY JOHNS AND EVIL DRUMS?

Heya, I can't really speak to those packs you mentioned as those are 3rd party packs. But I can suggest BFD Vintage Recording Techniques which has 29 microphone channels in it and is replete with many different types of room sound. There is a demo packs panel inside the BFD options menu. But not all...

I have had it running in Bandlab too, as I've done some testing of the new internal build in it.

Re: BFD 1 compatible with BFD 3?

Heya,
If you're sending midi files back and forth, then just make sure you're using the BFD1 keymap when programming your BFD3 drum tracks. So when you export as midi it will line up with his map.

Re: BFD crash in Cubase 10.5

Just want to add to this report that I'm running into this same wall as well. It's crashed 3 times within the past hour, totaling 4 times within the past 3 days. I'm not running any other programs at all other than Cubase. Mine has been crashing while attempting to simply change a snare in Kits bot...

I've been investigating this recently. Are you using multiple instances at all?

Re: Groove Editor - expand groove and duplicate events to expanded bit

To do what you want to do, don't select any events. Just hit the duplicate button in the top bar of the editor. It's got a 'D' label on it. That will duplicate the entire groove.

Re: bfdlac tool issues

That sounds like the loudness cache needs clearing. Find the LoudnessCache folder in the following locations: Installation Database & Preferences Paths - Where content databases and user preferences for BFD3 are located Windows 7/10 32bit - C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\FXpansio...

Re: BFD acquired by inMusic

One small point there - BFD is not being subsumed by AIR or any other of the inMusic brands. It will be a brand in its own right alongside the rest. I can't tell you what happened recently, but suffice to say there are some very cool things in the air.

Re: BFD3 crashes & unable to load library

I would recommend cleaning out all BFD3 files from the machine and starting again - everything EXCEPT the installed audio content library. The paths are detailed here in this thread: https://fxpansion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=8360113 Clear everything from those paths and re-install BFD3, t...

Re: Standalone crashing

I've just sorted your authorizations out so you should be good there. As far as the standalone crashing goes, it sounds like either the Clarrett driver doesn't like our standalone, or our standalone doesn't like the Clarett driver. I'd need a Clarrett to test with, which I don't have right now. My s...

Re: BFD3 not matching to Logic Tempo in Groove export

As far as I'm aware, Logic should be prompting you to ask if you want to import the tempo map or not. All BFD does is write a midi file temporarily to disk and then import it into Logic the same as you would any other midi file. There may be a preference for this in Logic somewhere, I cannot recall ...

BFD3 Technical Support - Common Issues & Resolutions

Hi all. During this transition phase from FXpansion to inMusic Brands I wanted to add some technical support information here so that resolving issues can potentially be quicker for people. Many of the issues we see are common and I will detail them below over the coming weeks. Here are some to get ...
