Re: Geist 3?

My prediction is that they'll abandon Geist just like they did Tremor.

Windows Defender flags 2.1.0.2 installer

Defender is identifying zpevdo.A in the 2.1.0.2 installer. I also tried installing the 2.1.1.3 public beta but that just crashes Sonar and Reaper as soon as I insert it. So it's either the virus version or the crashing version. Great.

Re: The problem with geist..

Try rewriting your post in the words of an adult instead of an overexcited teenager. What's all this "tranny" BS?

Re: What's going on?

Urgh 2 years in and to be honest, it still annoys me that I wasted $100 on upgrading from Geist 1 to this junk. It's never worked properly and has many design flaws which have, quite frankly, made me reach for Geist 1 every time instead. Today I'm in an update mood and have been updating all my apps...

Is this forum going to pot along with Geist 2?

Come on guys, a spam blitz spanning 2 days still not dealt with?

I mean it's not as if you're busy working on Geist

Re: Obvious idea for Geist 3: merge with Tremor

Tremor is a great drum synth but it's definitely been abandoned development wise. Hell if they not even going to fix Geist 2 there's no way they're going to roll their sleeves up with Tremor at this point. I just take it as it is....works OK but is a little buggy and crashes on me once in a while.

Re: What's going on?

I'm considering Geist 2 to be a dead product at this point. I lost my $100 upgrade fee, and I'm over it. I used to recommend Geist all over the forums. Daresay I was responsible for more than a few sales over the years. Now I'm advising people not to buy it, and I won't be surprised if fxpansion ann...

Re: What's going on?

Ha I haven't used Geist 2 for almost a year now because I was so pissed with it. Crashing, inferior workflow to Geist 1, no ability to limit the number of pads a sample is sliced to, and a whole host of other annoyances and design flaws. I paid $100 for this thing and I've been using the old versio...

Geist 2 one of the most unstable VST's I have owned

Seriously guys I've had this thing for so many months and yet I've still yet to use it successfully in a project. It just crashes all the time, in Sonar anyway, and nothing which is obvious enough to create a recipe for. Just clicking around the interface when the transport is running seems enough. ...

Re: What's going on?

If they fix it (and maintain it), they win! BFD + Geist = Potentially Two Very Strong Products BFD + A Geist/Tremor Hybrib = BIG WIN https://youtu.be/uFXH2Pa48lg I can't imagine them ever digging up Tremor from the crypt. When was the last update, about 3 or 4 years ago? I should think they'd have ...

Re: What's going on?

I used to recommend Geist to anyone asking about drum VST's and samplers on forums. I really believe I sent a lot of customers to fxpansion over the years. I haven't done that for a long time because of my disappointment with Geist 2, especially with regard to the over 6 months since the last update...

Re: Disappointed by Geist 2

By the way I just worked out which full preset is causing the standalone to crash, it's "Blister." Thanks for clarifying; does the crash occur when accessing a particular function, or as soon as the preset is loaded? Could you please provide some more info regarding your system setup? Ple...

Hi Drew,

I submitted a bug report but I don't see of what use it would be without the crash logs - you might want to add a file upload feature for that purpose.
