Re: What's going on?

here's another one: check your expanders and try to see if their claims when they advertise it are true. i have a couple and i noticed that a lot of the cinematic percussion isn't RX2 so it doesn't conform to the host's clock. the expander pack claims that it has "over 1300 RX2 loops" crap.

Re: What's going on?

Ah yes, the halcyon days of earlier this year. Kneecapped ranting on us wimps for “complaining” about Geist2 only to be banned because mods found he didn’t even own his copy. Or was that another thread. Kinda hard to keep up with all the action here. And “no” the mods aren’t that stringent here. You...

Re: What's going on?

Ha I haven't used Geist 2 for almost a year now because I was so pissed with it. Crashing, inferior workflow to Geist 1, no ability to limit the number of pads a sample is sliced to, and a whole host of other annoyances and design flaws. I paid $100 for this thing and I've been using the old versio...

Re: GEIST 3

When was the last update for tremor? For Maul? For Etch? For any of the products in their line? It’s not just Geist2 that’s disappointing.

Re: What's going on?

Time to dismount this dead horse. Unfortunately for me, got on several of them(maul, etch, tremor, and this one.) all of them left to be unupdated, check out the CPU usage, of each of the plugs I mentioned and compare it to much of the plugins which do the same. Maul vs fabfilter's Saturn; Etch vs V...

Re: What's going on?

Wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. It's been more than a year of this full-priced alpha version and no clear direction or real thrust for the development of the program. I'd direct you to other software with less features (battery) or more skewed ones like Nerve. This horse has been dying for 12...

Re: Farewell Fxpansion!

] FWIW, this is exactly what the long-time, would-be hardcore Maschine users say on a regular basis over in the Maschine forum. Though it's worse there, because instead of evolving (and fixing) core elements of Maschine itself, all NI did was release a whole new hardware product, the Jam (and of co...

Re: Farewell Fxpansion!

^^^ what s/he said. All they do is dole out expanders. All this new influx of users on the forums, all bound for disappointment, head banging, and regret. I agree with the dubious choice of keeping it on sale despite its 1 year+ of being semi-alpha level. Even Some members on this thread who've been...

This is what we've been going thru for the past year. Trainwreck. No commitment to their products.

Re: Why does Geist have so many bugs?

But it's still a b*tch to work with. All these issues now from the new customers and it's been out for a whole year already. Something's terribly wrong with fxpansion.

Re: Sounds leading up to a hit

Might I suggest a selective shift knob too. A global one would be useful but too broad a stroke when all you wanna do is delay the 2&4 a bit. This selective shift knob coupled with transmod could prove quite interesting. (If it doesn't crash first!)
