Re: BFD3 and PT ADC Bug

I can't believe I didn't notice this before, but PT11 ADC does not work with multi-output VI's, including the FXpansion products. I was able to verify this affects BFD3, and also that the workaround I use for Geist works for BFD as well: http://www.fxpansion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7580310 And he...

I'm not sure if this relates but, I had noticed insane CPU usage in Pro Tools 9. I tried all variables, streaming and ram buffers in BFD3 did not help. I tried less velocity levels, etc. etc. Then I tried various Pro Tools playback engine settings and nothing helped dramatically. I noticed that my ...

CPU usage.

Hello, I have been doing a bit of troubleshooting lately. I will occasionally get CPU errors when tracking in Pro Tools at a 64 HW buffer. My machine is a fully optimized 6 core (12 w hyperthreading) and its rare to have issues with running out of CPU. BFD3 in standalone seems to be very low CPU usa...

When I view available kits and click the Library button to see what is available, I have all my BFD v1 kits, all the BFD3 kits and only 1 BFD2 kit available. The BFD2 kit pieces are all in my content paths but for some reason BFD3 just won't make them available as kit options for me to load. That m...

Offline bounce

Have a concern and not sure who would be the proper company to bring it up to. I have been doing some quick rough bounces for a band who is going over some parts and such. A lot of times when using BFD3 in offline bounce mode in PT (11.1,Windows 8 currently) occasionally things like cymbals get cut ...

Re: BFD3 Window Too Big

Hello! I'm sure there's something simple I'm missing but I can't figure out how to re-size the BFD3 window so I can access stuff toward the bottom of the screen. I tried searching the manual and Google but found nada. I'm running PT 10 on Windows 7 with a Digi 002. Anyone know what I can do? Thanks...

I thought I also said BFD2 was easier to use? Maybe not. I have BFD3, I know how to use it, I make tutorials about how to use it - but to me BFD2 was more intuitive. I'm not a fan of the interface or the flyouts/sidebars, I preferred the menu based system on BFD2. It just made more sense to me as a...

Not buying the whole thing of PT11 was released 5 or 7 months into BFD3's development. Release date means nothing as Avid was actually working on PT11 5 years and I'm sure the developer partners like fxpansion got a heads-up on what was coming. So things could have been done way different. Surely i...

Does that mean that it is possible to set BFD3 up to exactly match my physical V-drum kit size? Yes, the kit and mixers are no longer "fixed" Can the display be flipped to reflect a left-handed kit setup? No, just the audience/drummer perspective as it was before, except your "kit&qu...

Yes I was a BFD 1 user on my old Windows/Sonar system and never really got on with the program. I tried but it just didn't work out. Used Battery instead. Figured I'd give BFD2 a shot on my PT system and it's been going quite well. Zero change was not what I wanted - just wanted aax64 bit support i...

I dont know for sure, but it does sound like the demo makes it difficult to give it a "fair shake" Were you a BFD1 user?? I was on BFD1 a couple years before 2 came out. That transition was HUGE!! Those 2 programs are light years apart. The transition from 2 to 3, I did not find that major...

Re: Thinking about getting BFD3, but...

55gb... thats right, think the downloader was around 30gb. The hybrid drives, mainly by Seagate, I am not sure would be much help. The SSD portion of the drive is about 8gb, and will store the most commonly used files. The actual platter is only 5400rpm. The huge advantage here would be for the OS....
