Hoping someone from Fxpansion still monitors this forum and could maybe provide a solution more quickly than Roli's support email indicates they'll take. I bought a copy of Giest2 Upgrade from Audio Deluxe and have been unsuccessfully trying to register the product for the last 24 hours. It just fre...
I'm not an e-drummer, but let me ask some questions to try and help you out: 1. Does your hat send out MIDI CC's (usually CC4) in relation to the open/closed position of the hat? If so, make sure your keymap includes at least the Variable Tip articulation. If not, select that articulation and map it...
You can already do this in BFD. It's a feature designed for e-Drums, but you could do it manually for use with a keyboard and/or piano roll. To do this: 1. Make sure the keymap you're using includes the "Variable Tip" and "Variable Shank" articulations 2. If not, map those articu...
As an FYI - to change the volume of the side stick (or any articulation), do the following: 1. Click on the drum to select it 2. Click on the Model tab (right browser) 3. In the Articulations section select "Side Stick" from the dropdown 4. Turn the "Artic Trim" knob up or down t...
I don't believe there is. Though your host will recall your BFD3 settings on project load following any save, so you may not need to go to the extra step of creating presets for each unless you plan on reusing them. If so, then having them in your BFD3 preset list makes perfect sense.
While 37 presets isn't the most in the world, they're 37 solid presets covering a wide range of genres. I wasn't expecting to ever use presets in BFD, but I did just that on a mix two weeks ago. Loaded up one of the rock presets, changed the kick to something with a little less beater, changed the s...

+1. It'll be much faster for you to create a new map in BFD3 that matches your existing Zendrum mapping than it will be to remap your Zendrum to match a different BFD3 mapping.
It would be very helpful if there was a comprehensive guide that covers upgrading from BFD2, and the various expansions. I gather that some expansions stored their data in different ways, and I have now spent hours trying to track everything down and work out what to do to transfer all the kits and...
As a workaround: if you saved any prior presets using that keymap, you can load the Keymap of the preset from the browser. In fact, if you only select the Keymap option in the browser, that'll be the only thing you load.
Fair enough, forgotten about U-he. Had a look at the Valhalla UI and eek!! was the first work that came to mind :o Steve The Valhalla UI's are my absolute FAVORITE GUI's! At first I thought, "oh, this is so flat and ugly, looks like Synthmaker." Now it's become, "wow, this is so func...
Hello guys, I have been mixing a couple of songs with my BFD2 and I have a quick question. Does anyone recommend using the direct cymbal faders in the mixes or just use the OH fader like the regular drum miking techniques. What do you recommend? Thanks Andy I might use a bit of ride direct to bring...
Is it possible you have something wrong with your automation map? The only thing that makes me even think this, is that you say it happens when the sequencer is sending MIDI to BFD2. You may want to go to the Keymapping page, click the Auto box, and check to see if there's anything weird there.
