What if you just start the song a bar later than the beginning of the timeline?

How to work on individual pages while song is playing?

I'm using GURU with Logic. Suppose I make four pages of 32 steps. The end of the last page is the fill-in before the sequence starts over. How can I loop and isolate that one specific group of 32 steps of page 4 so I can continue to write the section, without GURU automatically ending the sequence a...

First downbeat is silent in Logic sequencer

I am using Guru with Logic's sequencer. Using the piano roll, I have penciled in a note for the patterns I have saved as scenes. I have a blank pattern for silence. So once my intro is done and it's time for the kickdrum to come in, I pencil in the next pattern. Except GURU won't play that first kic...

Thanks Kickflip. Now I think I can start to do some damage with Guru. 8)

Thanks for the link sec_9, I've actually gotten to this point. Following the instructions in this thread I have gotten four aux tracks dedicated to the sounds I want. Kick on 3-4, Snare on 5-6, etc. The problem is, Guru has 16 different pads. It seems that each bank of pads is dedicated to one chann...

Bumping this topic. I have followed the instructions here and gotten Guru to be mutl-out. However, Say it's Guru channels 3-4, and those are all the kick sounds. How would I get it so that the kick sounds can go to different channels, and not all be consolidated into one channel? As of now this effe...

Actually, iDrum isn't too bad.

iDrum has the ease of use (meaning, it's actually not a complicated process to change drum sounds like it is in Ultrabeat) but Guru has the built in matrix editor thing, that Reason has.

Well until I find out I guess I'll just make myself learn Ultrabeat in Logic.

Guru--when I can I buy via download?

I'm want to buy this program but before I do I have a few questions. I was told soon Guru will be download only. I would like to purchase this as a download, not have to wait by the door hoping for the UPS guy. Also, if I purchase now, and there is an updated version sometime soon, will I have to pa...

Thanks for clarifying that. I'm actually more interested in a download version.... is this likely to happen in a few months or sooner than that? I'll probably want to buy this soon.

Guru only choice for matrix style editing in Logic?

I've downloaded the demo and I think Guru MAY be what I've been looking for. I come from Reason and with all its faults, it has a very easy and intuitive way to preview and program drums. Arranging drums in the drum lane in Reason's sequncer is about as easy as it gets, drawing hits in with the penc...
