Re: Logic X 10.4.3 crashed validation

Have you tried re-validating within Logic? Sometimes, validation crashes are sporadic and are not the fault of the plug-in itself.

Re: Saving presets problems!

Are you working with a fresh BFD3 preset or an older BFD2 preset. This used to be a problem with BFD2 presets which had to be re-saved into BFD3 presets.

Re: Mapping drums with my laptop keyboard?

Unless you have some sort of keyboard-to-MIDI driver, you may be limited to doing this within a DAW. Most DAWs offer the ability to play piano using your computer keyboard.

Re: Stalled whilst downloading BFD3 Core library. Now won't download anything

You may want to try dragging the download ticket onto the download manager again and letting us know what happens. Pending that, you may also want to remove the partial download to avoid any chance of corruption.

Let us know how you make out.

Re: low buffer size for composing in DAW

Perhaps your buffer might be a bit too low if you are experience crashes or audio cutting out. You might want to adjust your RAM and Disk cache.

Re: No sound, BFD3 Demo, Mac OS 10.14.1, midi working

Check to make sure that no other app is open, stealing any CoreAudio channels. Pending that, you might want to create a support ticket since it doesn't appear that FXPansion have provided any statement on Mojave compatibility.

Re: Replacing SD3 with BFD into existing projects, need some help

SD3 has various "translations" between kits within an SDX (or core library) to account how it works with the MIDI map. Making map in BFD would be nothing more than a 10 minute process. Use the BFD2 or GM MIDI map and use the learn function to add the missing or changed articulations. Once ...

Re: Why are my hi-hat notes muting the snare?

Check to see that your snare and hat are not part of the same choke group. As well, you might want to check that you are not firing a hi-hat articulation from your snare. If you are , you will want to change that in your key map.

Re: help with new installation...

It probably depends where you installed them. Hopefully, you installed your expansions in their own separate folders? You may want to post a screenshot of your directory where the packs were installed.

Re: Looking for help with switching beaters on the fly

It's the same in every major drum software. Superior drummer works in the same fashion: a different beater is considered a different kit piece. If you want to simulate changing beaters on-the-fly, you'll need two different kit pieces assigned to different midi Notes. You would probably then want to ...

Re: help with new installation...

You may want to open up your content scanner to see if it is picking up your expansion packs. If not, manually add in the folders and rescan.

Re: Cymbal chokes work in standalone. But not in Live

You may want to check if your DAW is filtering your aftertouch. I can't speak for Live, but my DAW has it in the project preferences.

Re: New user need help

Best practice is usually to put the expansions in a separate folder. I had one for BFD2 and another for BFD3 expansions. Main reason is BFD3 expansions are in BFDLAC format. There should be no difference in sound quality as far as BFDLAC goes. LAC stands for Lossless Audio Compression. Everything I ...

Re: Upgrading from BFD Eco to BFD3

If the expansion packs that you currently own have a BFD3 install, you just may be better off reinstalling the packs for BFD3. That way, everything is optimized for use with BFD3.
