Re: London Sessions and ArticTweaks.xml

It's not the room. It's the entire recording. All of the kit pieces were recorded extremely hot and with zero headroom. Comparing them with other kit pieces, based on all the recordings, Will be challenging at best. Even more challenging, will be trying to compare them with anything recorded by John...

Re: BFD3 confusion- quick question

Once you set your default keymap, uncheck the keymap checkbox over in the presets panel. This will prevent any keymaps associated with the preset from loading.

Make sure that the content scan has an entry for your BFD2 content and rescan.

Re: key maps and user presets

There is a keymap checkbox at the top of the presets list. Uncheck it and it will not load the keymap for that preset. This will keep your drum keymap intact.

Re: Can't access 8-bit Kit

I only see a screenshot for /Library/ Did you look in ~/Library/Application Support/fxpansion/ ? As well, they could have wound up in your ~/Documents folder. There are lots of places to look. You can probably find it with a smart folder or a Spotlight check (assuming you allowed you computer to ind...

Re: Total reinstall of all BFD products

First of all, ROLI is not a guy and they're not farming out their support. ROLI is FXPansion's parent company (there is a sticky at the top of the forum, in case you missed it). Secondly, because you reinstalled everything to a different drive, you may have to delete any old license auths in your sy...

Re: Can't access 8-bit Kit

The kits are probably already in the ~/Library/Application Support/fxpansion folder already. The scanner probably doesn't have the folder added to it.

And if it's not there, it's probably in the /Library/Application Support/fxpansion folder.

Re: Can't access 8-bit Kit

8-bit kit should not be in the BFD3 Core Library folder. Make a separate folder outside of the core library fro your expansions and put it there. Once you have done that, point the content scanner to it, adding the folder.

Re: Killing room mics leaves no snare or kick

The kick and snare are close mic'd, as are the rest of the kit pieces. There are two for the kick (in and out) and usually two for the snare (top and bottom), and sometimes a third mic for the side of the snare. Check your mixer channels to make sure the close mic'd channels are not muted.

Re: Can’t Drag & Drop Midi in Pro Tools 10

Can you drag from BFD as a plug-in within Pro-Tools? Although standalone is just a wrapper for the plug-in, the fact that it makes it an app may have introduced a different set of peculiarities, or even bugs, when it comes to drag and drop on the Mac OS. Try it as a plug-in and let us know. It works...

Re: How To Configure BFD 3 With Percussion Device?

What you would need to do in order to use the Handsonic with BFD is create a keymap within BFD, based on the MIDI notes and MIDI CC's output by the Handsonic and map it to the desired kit piece articulations in BFD.

Re: Keymap for Superior Drummer 3

If you are looking for a keymap for SD3, you're probably best to make one, since SD3 was released not too long and you're probably not going to see one just yet. Keep in mind that the maps may differ slightly between SDX's due to different kit pieces and their articulations. However, for the most pa...

At the bottom of the Library pane, you will see a Save... button. That will save your track stack in the library.

Re: Licence Manager WTF?????!!!?

True but he was suggesting to other users to look for alternative software so I assume he already had or was thinking about it and the closest alternative is SD3. . There are numerous alternatives. A friend has SD3 and I think it's a huge and much needed improvement on SD2 but apart from the drum t...

Re: Licence Manager WTF?????!!!?

Jord made the above post back in July 2017, I'm guessing he would have resolved it by now so hopefully he'll be able to help. I probably should have posted the solution back then as it probably would have prevent both first-post trolling along will blanket posts from support (both as useful as a ba...
