Re: New Bfd user.I own many expansions, help needed!

Almost all of the libraries and expansions are 20-bit these days. As I said, you'd have to A/B with the original libraries, and you'd have to listen with intent, in order to notice that difference. We're only talking a couple of db difference on the low end, which in most music gets processed away t...

Re: Wow! Things are getting out of hand here!

If by something great you mean a reworking of BFD then I for one would welcome that. However there seems to be little evidence that this will happen. I posted a while ago a reaction to the release of Superior Drummer three and got precious little response. Actually, I was quite horrified by the lac...

Re: New Bfd user.I own many expansions, help needed!

As for the 20bit files there is absolutely zero difference in audible quality and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The BFDLAC tool also uses a lossless algorithm that doesn't effect the audible quality at all. That is incorrect. Only the lowest of the low levels are affected and unless you are ...

Re: Wow! Things are getting out of hand here!

It used to be that you had to have a registered serial number for the product whose forum you wished to post into. Ever since they got rid of that, it all went to hell quickly. That needs to come back. Right now, this is more like a sign that FXPansion, or more to the point ROLI, doesn't care. Sorry...

Re: Everything Installed BFD3 = NO SOUND

The most common issue is after downloading the core library, people usually forget to run the installer. Make you have done so and then run the content scan in BFD3.

Re: BFD3 using multi out in Logic x

No, that's how you do it in Logic. It's not that complicated really. You can save a template in Logic so that you don't have to keep doing it every time.

Or, what you could do is export Aux stems from BFD3 into audio and import them into Logic. That would keep your mix intact.

Cool, that definitely helps. :)

Hopefully you got to try any of the other suggestions laid out in my post. Let me know how you make out with them.

Re: BFD3 "Unable to launch because the plugin appears corrupted"

It would be best if you list your system details. That way we can help you better. You might also want to try repairing your permissions and do a file system check (both in Disk Utility). Pending that, you can always try a remove and re-install (perhaps re-download the latest version in your account...

If you're referring to the controls, that is the Kit Property Inspector that's on the right side. Everything is in there.

Re: Funky Snare sound help!!!!!

I'd start wtih something like a Ludwig Black Beauty. That one's usually my go-to for something that needs that kind of funk-type of sound. Cut a bit of mids (find the annoying ring) and put it through the either the channel comp or an 1176 type plug-in with about a 4:1 ratio and enough attack to let...

Re: user samples...importing (multisamples) (polyphonic .wav file)

In order to do a multi channel WAV, you would have to understand the makeup of a BFD preset. Otherwise, it is not possible when importing user samples.

Re: BFD 3 content/drums not found

I wonder if your download may have been pooched in some way. Sorry to say that you may have to re-download it and check the payload. If you received about 37GB of audio data, then try the install again. The core audio library should be about 55GB or so installed. Check for the audio files in your ki...

Re: BFD 3 Not showing up in Protools 12.8.1

BFD3.2 is AAX, so make sure that it is installed in the folder where those plug-ins are. Admittedly, not a Pro Tools user, but on the Mac, they should all be in a similar area, which is /Library/Audio/Components/

Re: Cant install drum drops kits into BFD3

You may wish to refer to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7582261

My guess is that Drum Drops haven't updated their installers.

As far as the presets go, you can drag and drop them from the payload into your documents folder.
