Re: Some love for FX

Sampled a snippet from an Internet Archive doc on the growth of detroit and ended up with a classic oldchool hardcore rave stab. The only time I clicked the mouse was to hit play on the video. I've now got this warm fuzzy feeling inside. 8) :) Man, I can certainly relate to how those guys used to fe...

Re: What's going on?

Happy 1st birthday Geist 2!
Disappointed but not surprised that this hasn't been acknowledged.

Re: Maschine Mapping info

Re: Farewell Fxpansion!

Couldn't agree more. Maschine is awesome, but, the software has crashed several times (nothing unrecoverable - it might be because of the vst being hosted) and I think Geist's implementation of sample layering is far superior as are it's filters. I can't fault the hardware though. It's really well t...

Re: Farewell Fxpansion!

I hear you both. This is not a product for professionals at present and is borderline for amateur dabblers. I just got Maschine and am really impressed. The first time I bought it about a year ago there were problems with two units in a row. Some pads would not reach full velocity without really hit...

Re: transient detection sensitivity slider greyed out

That might be because they're rex files; what you said about being pre-sliced. You can still unlock the slices and reposition/add/delete them though.

Re: Maschine Mapping info

Had a play with mapping this today. Proper geek time. - I have the sampling button toggling the sampler but have to be careful with the button assigned to Arm or Geist will go a bit wonky. It's nice to be sampling to a selected pad with two button presses. Maschine is a really well thought out piece...

Re: What's going on?

lol, yes indeed. A man can dream of a finished product that meets his needs but after waking up it still won't be true. Thank goodness their are alternatives available! I can at least credit FXpansion with reinvigorating my love for dabbling and creating again. Hope that's the same for a few other p...

These have been submitted as bug reports, and will be fixed in the next update: BR 0014933 - Pattern control mappings missing Focus function BR 0014956 - MIDI mapping of Repeat value only reaches 1/64 instead of 1/64t at 127 BR 0014957 - MIDI mapping of Round Robin type only reaches Round Robin Res...

Re: Crashes when entering/editing notes during playback?

Hi Lawrence. It was running in standalone mode with pattern only playback. Not sure if chromatic was engaged on the pads at the time. If it happens again I will try to take note of the specifics as it's happened twice in a short period of time. I will pm the crash dumps but they have no logs unfortu...

Crashes when entering/editing notes during playback?

Anyone else experience crashes when entering/editing notes during playback with the mouse?
It's happened twice in the last two days. That's too much to be a coincidence.

Recording actual note position

Hi

Are there any plans to record the actual note position in the future rather than encode everything to shift?
This creates a bit of a mess when you then go to apply swing afterwards. The only way to solve it is to ensure everything is always quantized.
Thanks

Re: What's going on?

Happy to report Geist (standalone) has not crashed since the last update during average usage. For example: Geist 2 - Transmod Reverb Riser (in context) https://youtu.be/MDWpoa8NY-0 (Ed: It just crashed while trying to move a long note while playing - I don't usually move notes while it's playing wh...
