Yes the Groove FX on the Groove Editor page is what I am talking about. In the Swing Section is a drop down menu where you can choose different Swing Templates. Those templates are text files that you can find in your BFD library in the Swing Templates Folder. For example in the BFD2 Library you ha...

Yeah, actually, importable groove templates are really important. In Pro Tools, for instance, you can use Beat Detective to generate a groove template that matches the grid lines to a live performance. I didn't use them much in BFD2 (were they importable?), because I was triggering through my DAW. I...

The install drive is too big for DVDs or a thumb drive. I still have some sets install discs, and it's piles of DVDs.

I recommend getting just getting another hard drive to back them up to.

I'd like to see some way to bulk-edit the BFDArticTweaks.xml's so that the were all -6dB down. If you know your way around the Terminal on a Mac, you can use use grep & sed to bulk edit the entire library tree. LOL. Yeah, I can sed, awk and Perl like the wind. I guess the thing I'm afraid of is...

Yeah, I have that issue. Actually, I see it as adjustable, but the knob moves really slowly.

Of course there is reasons to buy this even if you own BFD2. If for no other reason on your next install you don't have to worry about installing BFD2, and then of course there is just for the fact of completion :) Considering that I have the BFD2 library floating around on 3 hard drives, this does...

Ableton Key Map

This is a map based on what Ableton distributes that seems to work with a few vendors. I've taken a few shortcuts to match what I've seen in a few libraries. The Ableton spec has 6 toms, like the GM spec. I've changed it to work with a typical 3 tom kit. In my Key Map, the low tom note is mapped to ...

You sound surprised. :P Yeah, well, sometimes I surprise myself with how surprised I am. Is there any chance someone has a 'standard' Ableton Drum Rack key map? One vendor I'm using uses one that may or may not be out-of-the-box. I'm having a hard time getting their cymbals down. They seem to use b...

OK, I think I got it. Apparently everyone has a different opinion on how to map HiHat articulations and Toms, and even some Snare hits. There's a half a dozen toms in the GM spec, and two of them are floor, two are mid, and two are high. There's also only open, closed, and pedal HiHat articulations,...

General MIDI Key Map

I'm trying to import some MIDI grooves into BFD3, but the General MIDI map doesn't really seem to match up with any of the MIDI files that I'm using. Some notes are correct, and others are wrong. The hihat articulations aren't correct, and it looks like the toms are also wrong. There may be others, ...

Feature Request: Multple Song Tracks in a Groove Palette

It would be nice to be able to have multiple song tracks in a Groove Palette, like a ProTools playlist. This would make it easier to construct variations and audition them against an arrangement.

Feature Request: Clear Grooves Not Used In Song Track

Would like to be able to clear all grooves not used in the song track. This would make it easier to construct songs based on libraries that aren't organized into song segments. Also, when you move a groove from one slot to another, the song track should automatically sync to the change. I like to ke...

OK, those are Guru packs. I haven't tried importing any of those yet. How well does that work? Is there any functionality that's lost or limited?
