Not sure I follow - you can adjust the damping time for the snare as a BFD2 parameter...? Do you want the decay time to change during the song - in that case you'd automate the snare damping time. If you want a longer decay time, you could pass the snare through a compressor to bring up the tail.

Reporting a problem? QUOTE YOUR SYSTEM SPECS!! We can help faster...

IF you are reporting an issue, you can greatly help turnaround time with our tech support if you include the following information: 1) What host you use, and which version. Don't just say ProTools, say Protools 7.3 cs4. We keep track of compatibility issues in a fine grained way, and often there are...

I hear ya. We discussed this a while back as a Good Thing; unfortunately it was triaged back to an update in the mad scramble to get 2.0.0 out the door. It is on the list tho!

In other tempo tracking news the standalone will now follow MIDI clock.

Let's flesh this one out:

left/right arrow moves selection the current quantize amount if snap is enagaged other wise "a small amount"

up / down moves all notes up / down an articulation WITHIN a kitpiece. (do we want the notes to trasfer over to next kitpiece? I guess so)

There are several reasons why kitpieces won't load, most of which will be happily documented in the BFD runtime log. Generally they fall into these catagories: * Load-all-to-RAM is enabled (for example), and you try loading a monsterously large kit - you run out of RAM. * Something has changed file ...

What version of BFD do you have?

The new percussion grooves are installed to a "PER" sub folder, and subfolders of grooves are only supported in 1.5.45 onwards.

Bubble number one that I want to pop right away, again: Until the day we call a complete halt to BFD v1.x.x support, you will see v1.5.x betas appearing, *some* of which will go *Release*, when we are satisfied they are good on all platforms. Then you will see a release update email in your inbox. E...

Extra RAM is NOT needed for extra cores, unless an application is specifically spawning off heavy RAM-using worker threads or processes for each core. This is not the case with BFD. Depending on your host sequencer, 1G may not be enough - MacOSX is generally more RAM hungry than Windows (for the ext...

We have a Q now in private beta that addresses: - The groove start / stop = crash problem on Mac. (cause: bad library builds on Tiger for O + P) - BFD drag-n-dropped MIDI files not being recognised by Protools on both Win and Mac (cause: overly optimized MIDI files in recent BFD build) - BFD's prese...

BUG ALERT / WARNING Recent changes since 1.5.45 'O' to the groove librarian's drag-n-dropping of MIDI files have broken MIDI drag-n-drop from BFD to Protools. We have a fix in-house now, and will make this available soon. BFD 1.5.45 'P' also seems to be crashing on mac when a groove is clicked on to...
