Plugins have to be VST 2.3 - many VST 2.4 plugins will work, but not those that use a certain buggy bit of code in the VSTGUI graphics system.

What is the problem in Studio One? We don't know of any problems with DCAM/Studio One at this time.

I agree it would be good if DCAM did absolutely everything, but there's a limit to how much stuff can be crammed into a release. Take a look at the manual for DCAM: Synth Squad - there is a staggering amount of functionality in there (speaking as a musician and not as part of a software company). Su...

It's called AmberFX because most hosts require them to be inserted as an FX plugin. To answer your question 'what good is it', the intended use is to use another synth going into the input while you play both of them with the same MIDI input. It's like hooking up 2 analog synths via CV and gate and ...

As far as I know it is mono. The FX versions are synths with an audio input. They are not filter effect plugins. You use them in the same way as an analogue synth with an extra input for the filter. I can appreciate you wanting it to be an effect plugin, but it would have involved making a whole oth...

dagon21 - thanks for the feedback. Regarding certain parameters being knobs - it's so that they can be modulated. Modulation doesn't have to be 'continuous' like moving it with the mod wheel. TransMod lets you modulate per voice or per note for example - so you could have a different filter response...

Been a while since I looked into the latest drives, but my Sandforce-chipset drive (OCZ Vertex 2) has been going strong for 1.5 years now with no slowdowns.

After discussing this with the web team, it seems that problems of this type tend to occur when cookies aren't enabled. It could be that this didn't affect you before because you only ordered from us prior to our switch to the paypal pament processing system. You can enable cookies in Safari using t...

The dots indicate the position of the control in each of the 4 bands. The bell/shelf will switch rather than gradually change. Switch controls are knobs so that everything can be modulated with TransMod (with a note-on or vel source, for example). The delay has the sum input and swing controls here ...

Hi,

Sorry you're having issues. It's probably just a temporary problem with the payment processor (paypal) - can you please try again? I've alerted our web dev team although it's pretty late here on a Sunday night so I'm not sure if it'll be possible to check it out straight away.

robopuma - Etch has quite a bit of cool stuff that isn't totally obvious at first glance. For example, audio-rate FM from either the main or the sidechain inputs (or the LFOs), plus the crazy modulation stuff that is possible - modulate modulators with each other to your heart's content and use the ...
