Installation oddities - GURU keeps asking for serial number...

Postby bluseky » Sat Dec 22, 2007 3:43 am

...in both standalone and as AU and VST plugins in Live on Mac 10.5.1. I had a severe crash and lost all the contents of my harddrive. I DL'd 1.5.12, ran the install, and then input the serial first in standalone, then as plugins. Still, every time I open GURU it requests my serial number again.

Any thoughts?

Very weird.. try trashing GURU's prefs (com.fxpansion.guru.plist), it should ask one more time and then stop.

Spotlight wont find those plist files as it classes them as system files, which spotlight ignores by default. The plists exist in one of two locations:

users/username/library/preferences ... or... system drive/library/preferences/

Also make sure you're on v1.6.12 if you're on OS X Leopard or above.
