AUDIO INSTALATION LOCATION QUESTION ...

Hi,

I have a 1TB WD Black internal HD in my iMac 24''(2008).
My question is - is it ok to partition it to 2x500GB and install BFD2 in the system partition and the audio on the second partition? Does it make any sense, streaming wise??? I have an external LaCie 500GB FW800 drive, that I have used up to now,but I want to make my environment quieter, with only the iMac running.

Any opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanx in advance,

I think I was going to do this once with the same thing in mind but everything I was told and read was that it has no effect on performance
so the answer is use a dedicated drive for samples and not a partitioned drive.

A partitioned drive is still the same physical drive.
