New Install process now 1.0.1.3 is out

Postby Z-Listers_Adam » Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:43 pm

Hey Guys, just purchased the crossgrade from Guru to Geist, but after a solid 10 minutes of staring at the my account/geist/software updates page, and reading all the available instructions - I am completely baffled at what to do for the install process.

The instructions (quick guide) only seem to relate to the older (1.0.0.7) 3- part installation, but make no reference to the latest 'installer' (1.0.1.3) you've posted - which I'd assume I install instead of one of the older 3-part files? - but then the new installer file is 40MB, and the older files are all 700MBish so this doesn't seem right ...

soooo... do I install all the older (3-part) files first & THEN also run the new (1.0.1.3) 'installer'? - or... uggh - helps! ;-)

Yeah, that's the way to do it :)
The big installer for 1.0.0.7 contains all the Factory Content, and the 1.0.1.3 installer puts the latest release of the software on there.

Nice one. Cheers.

@ the FXs - A little text addition to the 1.0.1.3 notes to explain this (& an update to the quick guide) would be great here to make his a little clearer
