Yeah thats pretty mega. I use Geist standalone but this will make exporting patterns super easy.

Just to clarify: Does that "fully scalable" include the text components, i.e.: fonts, so that smallish displays with high resolution won't be a problem with Geist 2?

Fully scalable, means just that. You can alter the window size, and the resolution. i.e. if you have a 4K monitor you can run it full screen at 2x resolution and have *big* fonts. And it looks just as good on an entry level retina macbook, when the resolution isn't as high.

Thank you for the clarification, these are very good news.

Is there an ETA yet?

Haven't looked in here for an age - really happy to see Geist 2 underway. My favourite drums plugin by a mile. I bought Maschine a couple of years ago, but it's mostly been gathering dust as I continue to use Geist - the workflow is so much better for my way of working. This update looks sweet!

A small point: I do hope that whomever was responsible for the Geist manual is assigned to produce the manual for Geist 2, because the Geist manual is among the best I've ever read for any product!

errr. Soon?
Plan is to have an open beta for Geist (which should start fairly soon. Watch this space).

I'm surprised nobody's brought this up, but how many patterns per engine in Geist 2? Is it more than before or the same?

Hope soon as within a month. I've been in talks with someone there and soon has been like 8 months already. It would be nice to have an official date or even a near ETD. Theres dedicated users that check this forum daily hoping to see the next release. I know you can't for sure say Nov. 1st but maybe a month or 2 max?? That would help the anticipation.

Stayed the same at 24 - Once i had increased the pad layout to 64 pads i was struggling for midi notes. If i add more patterns then they will end up split across the keyboard zones...

Sorry, we don't give dates out. Im going as fast as i can, and once we are happy that its 'beta' (its not atm) then you guys will get it :) Let say our current timeframe would be beta around year end 2015 / start 2016
