Postby Drew_BFDTeam » Thu Oct 01, 2020 9:34 am

Hi everyone,

BFD product support is now part of inMusic Brands. For all product support, please email support AT bfddrums.com with your contact information and a description of your case.

Cheers!

I've emailed support@bfddrums.com several times over the last 5 weeks and they haven't replied. I just called tech support at inMusic. After
waiting on hold for 30 minutes tech support answered and asked for my name and phone number. I explained my problem and he said that inMusic has just acquired BFD but he would try to help. The call was then cut off and he made no attempt to call me back. I'm a long time BFD user (since version 1) but have often had problems installing BFD Expansions and Groove packs. When support.roli.com was taking care of tech support things would get done (very slowly). Now it looks as though there is no tech support for BFD. I'm thinking of switching to Toontrack Superior Drummer.

Don't do it!

It's pretty bad and understandable that you'd be extremely annoyed with them.
I would say that maybe because they have only recently acquired BFD, it's taking a while to sort out their support system but they
merged back in March or April so have had plenty of time.

What is the issue you're having?

I think I have just about given up on BFD3 and inMusic. No replies to any of my requests. When I get my next computer BFD will be toast unless I am contacted soon. What about all the contact details with FXpansion. Surlely we could have been sent a reassuring email of intent? But no, nothing.

I'll run this thing until some os upgrade takes it out of commission and then I expect it will be done. This expectation is based on comments in these threads regarding "support" and that I went to inmusic, clicked on the fxp link and found.... nothing. Too bad. There are things I really like about this product and, as time has permitted over the years I am always discovering some other cool function. For instance yesterday, using a boppad I resurrected from hardware failure, I built a kit that uses some hand percussion and I got distinctly good feel from the "Vel to Pitch" knob that allowed me to get a nice rim resonance from a single pad. But I can probably figure out how to do that in a drum rack in my DAW, I guess. I really COULD use a way to translate all these expansion packs (I bought a lot of non-kit percussion over the years) into something I could use in that DAW/rack solution though. I think the biggest loss, when this finally gives up the ghost, for me will be the loss of the well-recorded darbuka, riq and tar samples. Wish there was a way to convert them. Otherwise, if this downward trend continues, I'll just end up freeing the space at some point.

fxpansion recommends to use bfddrums.com for support but none of my requests have been answered.

Inmusicbrands also do not answer requests. I tried for many weeks but received total silence.

As a matter of fact BFD is listed as an inmusic brand but there is no link to support.

fxpansion still sells BFD but only answers licensing requests.

Is anyone in charge?

BUT! ZERO reply on requests. For how long will this situation remain?
