All the old fxpansion kits I have are WAV files and I'm guessing the PS stuff is too.
That's a neat idea to be able to compress all the old data, of course that would mean BFD2 and Eco would be redundant
as they wouldn't be able to load the new format.
No news yet, but we do have some rough ideas on putting together a tool. It would be really useful for you guys to have it, but it will of course break backwards compatibility with BFD1 and BFD2. But yes, I have a 1TB drive at home with almost all of the packs on, that I got down to about 400GB once I went over to the BFDLAC format for everything.
As Skot said, we're really just trying to focus on the main product first. But we are aware of how cool this could be.
We've got something in house that does the job. A few beta-testers have tried it, it's a little unpredictable and crashy right now, so wont be hitting the public soon. But please know we are aware of the desire for a tool, and it's on our list.
