Authorisation-problems, no help from support till posting here.

Postby florvanl » Fri Oct 04, 2013 2:41 pm

Hello all,

I hope to get some attention from fxpansion here.
Since I installed BFD3 several of my expansionpacks refuse to authorize.
The newest license-manager was of course installed. This is the message I get:
" "Several of your products have failed to authorize properly.
These products are listed below:

BFD Exp: 8-Bit Kit (Software BFD Exp: 8-Bit Kit has status 5 which is non authorizable)
BFD Exp: BFD Cocktail (Software BFD Exp: BFD Cocktail has status 5 which is non authorizable)
BFD Exp: John Emrich XDrums (Software BFD Exp: John Emrich XDrums has status 5 which is non authorizable)
BFD Exp: Virtually Peter Erskine (Software BFD Exp: Virtually Peter Erskine has status 5 which is non authorizable)
BFD Exp: Yamaha Maple (Software BFD Exp: Yamaha Maple has status 5 which is non authorizable)
BFD Exp: Yamaha Maple Custom (Software BFD Exp: Yamaha Maple Custom has status 5 which is non authorizable) "

All these were bought here in the fxpansion-shop, except Virtual Erskine (Platinumsamples).
They have only been authorized on 1 computer.
I started a support-ticket (#64307), but the only answer I got was to install the latest version of the licensemanager.
Which was of course already installed. Since then, nothing but silence from support.
I am very disappointed and I think this not a good way to treat your customers.

Hi,

Our QA team is looking at your issue right now. I'm sorry but this is a new release with a lot of new code and it's not always possible to solve problems in a few minutes and 1 email. Please bear with us and we'll get you up and running as soon as humanly possible.

Ok, a little feedback to let one know something is being done is nice.

I am having the same problem authorizing BFD 3 (upgraded from BFD 2) - been trying over and over again to get it authorized, but get the "Several of your products have failed to authorize properly" message and "BFD 3 (downloader failed to connect to server)" message - I have even tried disabling my anti-virus software, but no luck!

Would love to use my new software!

Locate and delete these auths from your system and launch the license manager and try to re-auth these packs. They should auth once you do this.

OK, in that location I see a file "BFD3.authrequest" - is that what I should delete?

EDIT: Tried renaming the authrequest (to "old"), then re-running License Manager. No luck.

Here's the solution:

I removed all other authorizations such as that of of BFD2 so that there non existing, I also de-authorized the current BD3 instance and re-authorized it and Wallah it worked, hope this works for you.....

OT: it's not "wallah", but "voi-là" (it's French, "see there!").

Sorry, carry on.
