E-Kit issue - looking for idea/solution

Postby teafan » Thu Jun 13, 2019 2:42 pm

Hi,

I've got a Roland TD17 and am encountering an issue when using it with BFD3:

lets say I hit the bow of the ride and then go to the bell of the same cymbal - its fine for one hit, but the second chokes the bow articulation. Any way to remedy this?

You're using a keymap that's different than what your kit is outputting. If there isn't a keymap for your eKit, then you can you take an existing keymap and modify it, or you can modify the MIDI out on your drum brain to match the keymap you are using. I'd recommend the former, however.

I'll give that a whirl Jord - but I mapped this manually. Would that not work?

Depends what you mapped. If anything, it just sounds like a case of an inadvertently mapped incorrect MIDI note. One way to see if things are coinciding is to open the MIDI monitor to see what you are sending from your controller. You can also use the learn as well as follow notes features to ensure that the articulation that you assign on the keymap coincides with the one you sent on your controller.
