I know BFD greatly reduced the time it takes to detect failures. But in the same vein, does it assist routing protocols in re-establishing neighbor adjacencies quicker when those links recover?
Once a link comes back, the BFD neighbor relationship is going to form again quick quickly. But does BFD then help establish an OSPF adjacency quicker that its configured hello timers?
I've had a read online and all the examples I find only show how BFD handles a link failure and not a link recovery.
