Looks like there are just shit loads of bugs to fix. Happy to wait till the end of the month if that means a meatier patch.

IMHO no point in releasing until all the serious bugs are fixed.

Hmmm of course, although I'd prefer to be in the actual beta testing if I'm going to pay for software upgrades as poor as this - at least my expectations would be managed.

FXpansion are clearly trying to address the issues, which I really do appreciate (Splitter2), but begs the question...what the hell was going on in the beta and why is all this stuff being dealt with after release?? :?

Be nice to get an answer, customers I think do reasonably expect there to still be some bugs but this is a wee bit OTT.

I agree with Alex - there is so much to fix that they need to get it right.

I think in the case of Spitter, FX wouldn't have know the strength of feeling for it until after the G2 release. And it's good that they back tracked on that and have brought it back.

But .... when they stated they had tested feeding audio directly into Cubase, which proved not to be the case, it does beg question their whole testing ethos. And with some really big issues, such as the mapping problems (which still aren't fixed) and the number of GUI issues and general crashes, this really is bad form and has made me re-think my attitude towards FX.

I paid for this on the day of release and still can't incorporate it in my workflow a month later. Now if FX had said it was still in beta form I would have a different attitude and would have been happy to help shape what should be the VST drum machine to kill all. But so far I'm more than a little disappointed. In the past I have frequently recommended FX stuff to other musicians and producers I meet - not so sure I will now.

I found this utterly mystifying. Anyway, I hope they not only take their time to get the next update right - but to test it, as well.

I also read this and could not find a single tip on how to make it work in the current build of Cubase 8.5....

What saves FX here is their release notes. Not only do they state what has been fixed, but also what hasn't. So we can see progress. Many companies are not that transparent. Wish they would do them in PDF rather than zip 'em (more people would read it) but nevertheless it's a good move.
