[BR- 0014844] Timestretch produces clicks in 2.0.4.13

Postby Deepbass » Sat Jun 25, 2016 4:40 pm

The timestretch mode seems to be broken in the new update V2.0.4.13. Sometimes when stretching (making slices longer) there are some clicks at the end which could not be removed with the end locator or the amp env. Also very small slices won´t be played at all when in timestretch mode. There is just a click. That did not happen before this update and I had to go back to a previous version.

Is this issue confirmed?

I've been trying to reproduce this but not having much luck. Do you have any before/after examples you could post please? Or presets in which this is ocurring? Thanks!

I attached a compressed file which includes 2 files and here is a detailed description of what you hear. Each sample contains 5 percussion hits in total which were slices and modifications from "Best Of Guru\Loops\Gearshift\Drums\170 - DnB Loop 5.rx2":

Geist 2.0.4.13.mp3:
1. First slice original
2. First slice with timestretch activated (sample got shorter)
3. First slice with timestretch 198% (there is a click at the end)
4. Sixth slice original
5. Sixth slice with timestretch activated (now there is just a click left)

Geist 2.0.3.14.mp3:
1. First slice original
2. First slice with timestretch activated (sample length didn´t change)
3. First slice with timestretch 198% (there is no click at the end)
4. Sixth slice original
5. Sixth slice with timestretch activated (sample length didn´t change)

I hope that you can reproduce it now.

Definitely hearing the clicks in those examples. I've been able to repro the click at the end and a shortening of the sample when timestretching is enabled, but not the drastic shortening in the last example you gave. Could you please zip up the preset this is ocurring with and attach it here? I'll open it with the latest build and see if it's still occurring. Thanks!

I just dragged 2 slices (the first and the sixth) from "Best Of Guru\Loops\Gearshift\Drums\170 - DnB Loop 5.rx2" onto 2 pads and triggered them. Since "Best of Guru" is from FXpansion you should have the drumloop. Please give me a short note if this is ok for you, otherwise I can extract the slices and send the 2 samples for you to drag them onto the pad in the new build. Thanks for taking care of this issue.

Cheers, just realised you did mention it in a previous post! I'll continue to try and reproduce, but I've got enough for a bug report, so it's been submitted.

Was this fixed?
Experiencing some issues when timestretch is used. It's causing some clicks/glitches.

It happens mostly when your running 2 or 3 tracks with time stretch...Mines gets progressively worse the longer I have a session open.I wrote this 3 weeks back. But Obviously it went under the radar.Maybe because I was the only one complaining at the time.3 weeks later we have more people saying what I said weeks back. But damn right it clicks and pops when you use time stretch....

Thanks all, we'll take a look to see what might be causing this. If you've any presets that can reliably reproduce the issue, please feel free to attach them in this thread.
